The 6U program is for children 4-6 years of age (Birth Years: 2018, 2019, 2020). 6U is an entry level program that is suitable for players of all levels. The goal of this program is to create a fun environment where children are actively engaged while being introduced to some of the basics of baseball. Although some of the fundamental skills and rules of baseball are taught in this program, activities will also focus on developing motor skills, cooperation, sportsmanship, and helping build self-esteem.
A baseball hat and jersey are provided. Players should bring their own glove and batting helmet, if possible. Players should wear comfortable sneakers and athletic clothing that is suitable for the weather. A water bottle should also be brought each day. Players often wear shorts on warm days in this program. It is a good idea to have your child's equipment and water bottle clearly marked with their name.
